LA Dance Magic Success!

LA Dance Magic was held at Fort McDowell April 19-21. On Friday, all of the solos and duos/trios competed with Royal sweeping the event. Top Junior solo went to Ashley, Teen solo to Ambry, and Senior solo to Cedar. Zane and Alyssa received top honors for Senior duo/trio.

Congrats for the sweep of overall top solo awards at LA Dance Magic. Ashley – top Junior, Ambry – top Teen, and Cedar – top Senior. You are awesome!

On Saturday, after inspiring classes by Jackie Sleight, DJ Guthrie, Matt Dorame and more, competition for groups started. Many platinum awards were given to Royal groups with special recognition to “Sesame Street”, choreographed by Brooke Anderson for 1st over-all Junior extended line, “Mean Girls” with choreography by Tony Suski for 1st over-all Teen production, “Psychedlic Heart”, choreographed by Dana Metz, for 1st over-all Senior group, and “You I Love”, 1st over-all Senior line, with choreography by Maria Jones.

Petite Company wins 1st overall

Congrats to our Petite Company for 1st overall for Sesame Street, choreography by Brooke Anderson.

Top winner of the week-end was “Madness”, 1st over-all Senior extended line choreographed by Jaci Royal.

Our Senior Company took top honors at LA Dance Magic this week-end with “Madness”, choreographed by Jaci Royal. Congratulations to all the Royal dancers for overall high points in many divisions and to all our scholarship winners. What a successful, fun-filled week-end!

Scholarships were abundant on Sunday for Royal dancers. Runner-ups for Dancer of the week-end were Kendall for Juniors, Michaela for Teens, and Tanner for Seniors. Dancer of the Week-end awards went to Mia in Juniors, Ambry in Teens, and Zane in Seniors.
